Moonrise Cottage FAQs
-
You bet! Furry friends are always welcome at Moonrise Cottage. We have no beed or size restrictions but do require a $50 non-refundable deposit per dog for additional cleaning. When you bring Fido you can expect to find the accommodations just as welcoming for him/her as for our human guests. We are proud to provide a large dog bed, food and water dishes, toys, treats, blankets to cover the furniture if your pup likes to cuddle, dog towels in case they get muddy or wet, leashes, dog waste bags, and two dog leads outside. Sorry we don’t have a fenced in yard yet, but it’s in the works!

We calculate fees based on scope, complexity, and projected resources, then present a transparent proposal.

The cottage has three bedrooms and comfortably sleeps six. Bedroom 1 has a large king bed, bedroom 2 has a queen bed, and bedroom 3 has a fun fort-style bunkbed with twin mattresses. We also have a pack and play with extra sheets stored in the closet of the king bedroom for any little ones too young to sleep in a bed.

We have central heat in addition to a mini split that provides both heating and cooling.
There is a gas insert in the fireplace. The fireplace is controlled by remote control, we ask that if you plan to have a fire that you watch the short youtube video in the digital welcome guide on how to properly work the fireplace.

WIFI
Yes! The cottage has up to 200 mbps wifi speeds. We also have a wifi porter which allows you to easily connect your devices to our wifi without having to enter a password.
CELL SERVICE
Being in the mountains the cell service can be a bit hit and miss. It seems to depend on who your provider is. If you have wifi calling capabilities you should be just fine. It’s a good idea to make sure you have wifi calling set up on your phone before arriving.

Not hard at all! The cottage is located right on the main road through town. This is a paved road that is maintained, flat and plowed in the winter. The cottage is right in the heart of Green Mountain Falls and across from the post office and just steps from the town center. Navigation should get you there easily but we also provide directions as part of the welcome message you receive directly before your stay. If you are visiting in the fall, winter or spring we highly recommend four wheel drive or chains as winter weather can happen any time in the mountains!
